What is Jazz te Gast?

Jazz te Gast is a young, biennial music festival that transforms a small village into the absolute center of jazz for one day.

International top musicians, young talent and Het Noordpool orkest come together for an unprecedented adventure: making new music together on the spot and then performing it in the fairytale gardens of De Gast in Zuidhorn.

Jazz connoisseurs, musicians, day trippers, passers-by, (school) children and residents  from all over the country meet in a casual atmosphere and intimate setting during this unique festival.

Jazz te Gast is not only open (free access). Jazz te Gast is, above all, a unique maker's party: led by an Artist in Residence and an Artist Entrepreneur, 11 top musicians will work on site in our village to create new material. The next day they share it with us: during the day on eight different stages in the gardens of De Gast, and in the evening in a final concert.

Stroll from garden to garden, have a bite to eat and be surprised by fantastic music. The festival starts at 1:30 PM and is open to everyone. A ticket is required for the evening concert. Ticket sales start April 15.

Jazz in Guest is an initiative of the residents of Zuidhorn. It is made possible by many volunteers and the contributions of a large number of small and large funds and sponsors.
